From around 1992, Erwin Wurm worked on a group of textile sculptures, which he initially realised in the form of videos; in them, artist friends can be seen putting on their entire wardrobe on top of each other according to Wurm's instructions. Jakob Gasteiger also underwent this transformation into a ponderously fat figure, who additionally put bread in his mouth to puff up his cheeks. In this work, two video stills are juxtaposed to illustrate the stages at the beginning and end of the process. For various presentations in New York and Europe, he transformed the present "test print" into superhumanly large-dimensioned billboards. With his "Fat Sculptures", which he pursued into recent work phases, Wurm reflected on concepts of art production as well as social aspects of consumer society.

Ab etwa 1992 arbeitete Erwin Wurm an einer Werkgruppe von textilen Skulpturen, die er zunächst in Form von Videos umsetzte; darin sind befreundete Künstler zu sehen, die sich nach Wurms Anleitung ihre gesamte Garderobe übereinander anziehen. Diese Verwandlung zur behäbig-dicken Figur erfuhr auch Jakob Gasteiger, der sich zusätzlich Brot in den Mund steckte, um die Wangen aufzublähen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden zwei Video-Stills gegenüber bzw. nebeneinander gestellt, die die Stadien zu Beginn und am Ende des Prozesses verdeutlichen. Für verschiedene Präsentationen in New York und Europa setzte er den vorliegenden "Probedruck" in übermenschlich groß-dimensionierte Billboards um. Mit seinen "Fat Sculptures", die er bis in jüngere Werkphasen verfolgt, reflektiert Wurm Konzepte der Kunstproduktion wie auch soziale Aspekte der Konsumgesellschaft.
