"35mm single-lens reflex Nikon F in black paint finish, produced under a U.S. military procurement contract. The camera carries a contract plate engraved CAMERA, STILL PICTURE KE-48C, FSN 6720-479-0414PK, S/N 7086668 MFR 17088 P/N 1553 CONTRACT F42600-70-C-3327, identifying it as an officially specified Still Picture camera. Indicating the manufacturer code, part number and the corresponding U.S. Air Force contract dated 1970. The top plate also shows a hand-engraved USAF, leaving no doubt about its intended use within the United States Air Force. The camera equipped with eye level finder and NIKKOR-H 50mm f/2 lens no. 891377 is in original and perfect working condition. Fully marked contract bodies of this type rank among the rarest variants of the Nikon F and illustrate the professional deployment of Japanese SLR cameras in military photographic and documentation work around 1970."
