Vogelmann was an advertising, press and fashion photographer before entering the film industry in the mid-1950s, where he worked as a still photographer. When Romy Schneider achieved increasing international success with the Sissi trilogy, he was her studio photographer for some time. The portrait in the mirror shows Romy as her character in "Die Halbzarte" (English film title "Eva"). In this Austrian comedy by Rolf Thiele, Romy's mother Magda Schneider also plays her mother on screen.

Vogelmann war Werbe-, Presse- und Modefotograf, bevor er Mitte der 1950er Jahre zum Film kam, wo er als Standfotograf arbeitete. Als Romy Schneider mit der Sissi-Trilogie zunehmenden internationalen Erfolg erlangte, war er einige Zeit ihr Studiofotograf. Das Porträt im Spiegel zeigt Romy in ihrer Rolle in "Die Halbzarte". In dieser österreichischen Filmkomödie von Rolf Thiele gibt Romys Mutter Magda Schneider auch ihre Mutter auf der Leinwand.
