Navarro is one of the most renowned photo artists from Spain since the 1980s and has published numerous books. His work allows him "to create objects containing subtle values intelligible to others", as he puts it. In addition to his mastery of finest light gradation, his talent for a convincing geometric composition is particularly outstanding. This is also evident in his series "Touches", which is dedicated to the confrontation of the textures of silk and skin.
