Crane worked with a variety of materials including Polaroid, gelatin silver, and platinum prints among others. She was known for her experimental and innovative work that challenges the straight photograph by incorporating sequencing, layered negatives, and repeated frames. "Enarc" is the name of a planet in the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. In this series Crane worked with montages in which she created an eerie world from elements of our familiar reality.
