"The very rare special edition Kiev IIIa (Ukrainian Logo), issued to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic (1918-1958). Approx. only 40 of these cameras were produced, engraved with the Ukrainian ""KNIB"" instead of the usual ""KNEB"" logo. The cameras were gifts to the party's leadership and the government members. The camera is in mint, original and fully working condition with matching Jupiter-8M no.5840452, cap and a 1958 leather Kiev case. Today, in the context of the current events in Ukraine, this camera acquires an additional historical dimension. It represents Kyiv’s long-standing industrial and cultural tradition as a centre of optical and precision engineering production — a tradition that, despite political upheavals and present-day destruction, remains part of Europe’s technological and photographic heritage. "Die sehr seltene Sonderausführung der Kiev IIIa (ukrainisches Logo) wurde anlässlich des 40. Jahrestages der Ukrainischen Sowjetrepublik (1918–1958) herausgegeben. Es wurden nur etwa 40 Exemplare gefertigt. Graviert mit dem ukrainischen „KNIB“ anstelle des üblichen „KNEB“-Logos. Die Kameras dienten als Geschenke für die Parteiführung und Regierungsmitglieder. Die vorliegende Kamera befindet sich in neuwertigem, originalem und voll funktionsfähigem Zustand mit passendem Jupiter-8M Nr. 5840452, Deckel sowie einem Kiev Lederetui von 1958. Im heutigen Kontext erhält diese Kamera eine zusätzliche historische Dimension. Sie steht für Kyjiws lange Tradition als Zentrum optischer und feinmechanischer Produktion. Eine Tradition, die trotz politischer Umbrüche und gegenwärtiger Zerstörungen Teil des europäischen technologischen und fotografischen Erbes geblieben ist.
