Vintage gelatin silver print, in very good condition. Photographer's Magnum stamp, handwritten negative number "1175-19" in pencil and title in ink, as well as cropping marks on the reverse.
In the Amazon basin of northern Brazil, Burri documented the clash between pristine nature, indigenous communities, and urban expansion. In this striking photograph, Burri uses the patches on a sail for his composition.
