The authenticity of this extremely rare collector's item is confirmed by the author of the most encompassing monographs on the work of the photographer: Patrick Martinat, Bascoulard. Bascoulard, known as an illustrator, had been posing in front of the camera in women's clothing since the early 1940s; earlier photographs of him are extremely rare collector's items.
