Vintage gelatin silver print on Agfa Brovira paper 17.8 x 12.8 cm, in very good condition. LITERATURE Monika Faber, Anton Josef Trčka. 1893-1940, Vienna 1999, p. 104 (same series).
Following his training with Karel Novák at the Grafische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, Trčka worked at the studio of Hella Katz on Vienna's Stubenring in 1925, creating nude and dance studies, including this photograph. Since his studio was destroyed during the war, original prints by the artist are particularly rare.

Nach seiner Ausbildung bei Karel Novák an der "Grafischen" arbeitete Trčka ab 1925 im Studio von Hella Katz am Wiener Stubenring an Akt- und Tanzstudien, einschließlich der vorliegenden Aufnahme. Nachdem sein Atelier im Krieg zerstört wurde, sind Originalabzüge des Künstlers besonders selten.
