When we first saw this camera, we thought it must be completely restored to the highest level. It turned out to be an fully, original, like new first version Compur Leica. Export camera in feet, base plate with "open-auf close-zu", finder engraved "Germany" on the side. It has all original features like finder, knobs have feathered arrows, early vulcanite etc., the distance scale is calibrated from infinity to 1.5 feet. This means that the focusing ring with the pointer needs to rotate from approximately 4:30 to 7:30 hours. For an ordinary 3-foot calibration, the length of the rotating barrel is shortened. The length of the rotating barrel on this camera is approximately 16.47 mm. Therefore you can focus at 1.5 feet (45.72 cm) instead of the typical 3 feet (91.44 cm). The camera was send to Australia in the 30th, never used and bought by the current owner 40 years ago. It has been recently serviced, cleaned and polished by an old experienced mechanic, who also confirmed the condition of this unique camera.

Als wir diese Kamera zum ersten Mal sahen, dachten wir, sie müsse vollständig und auf höchstem Niveau restauriert worden sein. Doch es stellte sich heraus, dass es sich um eine völlig originale, neuwertige " Close-Focus" Compur-Leica in Feet der ersten Version handelt. Die Exportkamera in Feet, mit Bodenplatte „open–auf / close–zu“, der Sucher ist seitlich mit „Germany“ graviert. Sie besitzt alle ursprünglichen Merkmale: Sucher, Knöpfe mit gefiederten Pfeilen, frühes Vulkanit usw. Die Entfernungsskala ist von Unendlich bis 1,5 Fuß kalibriert. Das bedeutet, dass sich der Fokussierring von etwa 4h30 bis 7h30 Uhr drehen muss. Bei einer gewöhnlichen 3-Feet-Kalibrierung ist das drehbare Tubusstück kürzer. Die Länge des rotierenden Tubus an dieser Compur Dial-Set-Kamera beträgt ca. 16,47 mm. Dadurch ist es mit dieser Kamera möglich, auf 1,5 Fuß (45,72 cm) zu fokussieren, anstatt wie üblich nur auf 3 Fuß (91,44 cm). Die Kamera wurde in den 1930er-Jahren nach Australien geliefert, dort nie benutzt und vom jetzigen Besitzer vor 40 Jahren erworben. Vor kurzem wurde sie von einem alten, sehr erfahrenen Mechaniker gewartet, gereinigt und poliert, der auch den außergewöhnlichen Erhaltungszustand dieser einzigartigen Kamera bestätigte.
