Vincent Fournier's art deals with questions of science fiction, utopian stories and various mythologies of the future such as the space adventure, humanoid robots, utopian architectures and the technological transformation of the living. His images are characterised by opposites that are often not clearly assignable and thus irritating: Reality/fiction, logic/absurdity, past/future, magic/science, natural/artificial. His works are in important collections, such as that of the MET in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and others.
