Chromogenic print, printed in the 1970s on glossy paper 30.4 x 40.6 cm, in very good condition. Handwritten annotated "Astronautique USA Apollo 11" and "Juillet 1969" on the reverse.

"The boot print on this talcum-like surface was not like sand or plain old dust. It would fall away and it made a very distinct print. It fascinated me and I wanted to take a good picture of this, it ought to be a before and after. So I picked out a nice smooth spot, took a picture before, put my foot down and this turned out to be quite a representative picture of the human print on the moon." (Edwin Buzz Aldrin)
