Helmut Klein worked as a photojournalist for the Daily Mail, Sunday Times and Sunday Express in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 1970. After photographing series in Vancouver and Seattle, he returned to Vienna in 1981. Here he passed the master and instructor examinations and opened a studio as an advertising and fashion photographer. For this image he captured an airplane in the sky between the canyon of houses in Vienna’s Naglergasse.

Helmut Klein arbeitete ab 1970 als Bildreporter für Daily Mail, Sunday Times und Sunday Express im südafrikanischen Johannesburg. Nach Aufträgen in Vancouver und Seattle kehrte er 1981 nach Wien zurück. Hier legte er die Meister- und Ausbilderprüfung ab und eröffnete ein Atelier als Werbe- und Modefotograf. Für diese Aufnahme richtete er seine Kamera gen Himmel, wo zwischen der Häuserschlucht der Wiener Naglergasse ein Flugzeug erscheint.
