In 1954, Mel Ferrer married his fellow actress Audrey Hepburn, with whom he stood several times in front of the camera (f.i. in the Tolstoy adaptation “War and Peace”) and whose films he also supervised as director (“Tropical Embers”) and producer. Their son Sean Hepburn Ferrer was born in July 1960; the marriage was divorced in 1968. 1954 heiratete Mel Ferrer seine Schauspielkollegin Audrey Hepburn, mit der er mehrfach vor der Kamera stand (u.a. in der Tolstoi-Verfilmung „Krieg und Frieden“) und deren Filme er auch als Regisseur („Tropical Embers“) und Produzent betreute. Im Juli 1960 wurde der gemeinsame Sohn Sean Hepburn Ferrer geboren; die Ehe wurde 1968 geschieden.
